so I was going back home last Tuesday and hit a moose going ~90KM/H.

good thing is before the accident I decided to go all Russian and buy a dash cam...

enjoy.

luckily nobody was hurt, I had my sister and her 2 month old baby in the car.

As you can see in the video I managed to jerk to the right before the impact so the hit would be on my side and not my sister's/baby's side.

about 8000-9000$ in damage, what really sucks is that I bought my new car 2 weeks ago :(

Damn lucky, hitting a full size moose may as well be a brick wall.
My uncle hit one in Alberta with his ridiculously big truck (Alberta sized), and half the truck was essentially gone.

yeh we were really lucky in the hit. As you can see in the pictures the metal piece between the windshield and the driver window took the biggest hit so the windshield did not completely break.

Damn that's harsh. Good to know everyone was okay. Was the moose dead though? If not did you put it out of its misery? I'm going all hippy but I hope you thought of that...

The moose just got up, gave me the wtf are you doing? look, then an off, police went into the woods to see if they saw blood or something but there was no blood or moose in sight(sp?), so they called the (protection de la faune?) the guys in charged of finding poachers and stuff to check it out in he morning. they did not find the moose.

Glad it ended well
