If I wasn't going to steal it before...

If Circuit City were sitting across from a police station, with 3 police cars in its parking lot, with police in them, I would still break in and steal that shit from the STORE before I'd pay for it. f- MS.

ME was almost as bad as 98.

To be honest, I was anti-windows, pro-mac and I liked the idea of Linux up until Win 2k and XP, when I realized MS can actually make a decent OS. Unfortunately, their protection for Vista is so inconvenient for legal consumers that only an idiot would pay for it.

I was very happy with '98 until several years after XPs release.

I will stick with XP until I absolutely must change for DX10. Then, I will steal an "uber" or "ultimate" copy of Vista. You know, the ones that come with lots of pre-installed apps.

Dear Mr. Korte:

DX9 has to to be used to it's full potential, and DX10 doesn't have enough of a performance gain over DX9 to be worth even stealing Vista.

XP Pro is the way to go, barthelago.

Well, for games anyway.

you have sex with that penguin dont you?

anyway, if MS came to their senses and just sold Windows Vista (full) for like 100$ and all the budget versions less than that, I think they would make much, much more money.

just download a cracked copy. WGA is easily disabled, even in vista. I wont be able to download updates, but I dont care. Anti-Virus is your friend.

As for cd keys, just phone when internet activation doesn't work. Trust me, I make about 3 of those calls a day at work. They only ask for the first string of numbers (6 out of 30) and then they give you a nice code to activate.
They don't expect anyone pirating windows to be ballsy enough to actually phone...

Yea, they don't expect you to pay for a new Vista key. You'd just have to activate over the phone every time you changed your hardware.

In a case such as mine, that'd get old, FAST. Thank god they changed the EULA.
