Haha, the list of bands keeps growing.
Do you happen to know any more that might fit into this genre?

Absolutely. If you want to go through an absurdly massive list and methodically eliminate what you don't like, then check out the list of post-rock groups on Wikipedia. For a quick and dirty list of a few of my favorites, complete with a YouTube link or two to a coolio track by each...

Boards of Canada: link1 and link2
Red Sparowes: link
Do Make Say Think: link
Mono (from Japan, not the UK): link
God Is an Astronaut: link!
Godspeed You! Black Emperor: link
A Silver Mt. Zion: link!
Fly Pan Am: a little obscure for the Tube, I'm afraid; just imagine a less conceptual GY!BE and you won't be far off
Saxon Shore: link1 and link2

Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, and 65daysofstatic would all be on that list, too, but I know you've listened to them already. I also know you're at least somewhat familiar with God Is an Astronaut, but I felt like posting them for emphasis. GIaA is probably my favorite post-rock band at the moment, and therefore by extension my current favorite musical group.

Listen to those at your leisure. The videos are largely unimportant, but the GY!BE video, and especially the first Boards of Canada video, you may want to watch.

Ulan Bator (feat. Emidio Clementi) - Femme Cannibale

I've been listening to more and more Ulan Bator lately. I'm not sure if I like them yet.

Oh, and while I haven't yet heard enough Destroyalldreamers to feel comfortable recommending them, preliminary earpleasurings have been very promising.

Out of that list I have only heard of of Red Sparowes, God Is an Astronaut, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, Saxon Shore, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, and 65daysofstatic. I was thinking you might put about 1 or 2 bands up there I wouldn't know but there are actually quite a few. I will definitely listen to all of those sometime tonight so I do appreciate your help.

MONO - A Thousand Paper Cranes

one of my best friends loves "tarantula". i could dig it in a club, but most of the time the breakbeats are a little too simple and hardcore for me. is the rest of their stuff like that?

I got so sick of Tarantula after everywhere in the world over-played it :( I like Hold Your Colour, Plasticworld and many other songs on that album more, anyway.

The Rural Alberta Advantage - Edmonton

Yes, that's a real band and one of their songs. Holla'atcha, Cordt.
