These are mostly totally random and incoherent posts that will rarely be any interesting for you to read unless you know me somewhat through the magnificent intarweb.
Prolonged exposure to the journalismned nuttiness of my delicious nougat filled head may or may not cause cancer.

Sweet baby Jesus, it's been a horrible day.

Me and a couple of other guys from the garrison company went out to celebrate that the last three guys from the March '04 enrollment are done with their 12 months today.

I'd post a funny story about what was said and done on our night out, but I can't remember diddly-squat.

Anyway, after consuming a free shot of sex on the beach (mmm) I ordered the pub's speciality...

"King's Mix" consists of:

1/3 Tequila
1/3 Jägermeister
1/3 Aquavit

In other words, horrible horrible liquid death with alcohol and an aftertaste of disgustingness... But boy does it mess you up.
After gulping that one down things get a little foggy, and the next thing I know its 6.45am and I'm sitting in my bed with the mother of all hangovers, and my feet nicely placed in a pool of gastric juice and lumps og sausage. Good morning? I think not.

Then I fell asleep around three times at work. My captains laughed at me. Sad

Oh well, come tomorrow I've got a 10 days leave, happy times.

Boyaka. Managed to get through the whole day without doing any work at all. Yes!

Woke up at 7.15am (wake up call is at 6.15am) quickly mopped over the toilet floor and passed the inspection eventhough Sergeant Stensen was the one inspecting, and I did less than a half-assed job cleaning.
Doffen 1 - Military 0

I then proceeded to skip Phys.Ed because I'm a lazy biznatch and I wasn't really feeling up to it. So I spent an hour surfing the net in the Welfare Office instead. I should have gone to work instead, but my bosses thought I was in Phys.Ed, and my company officer thought I was at work. I love havin free time in the mornings ^.^ Think I'll award myself an extra point for that one.
Doffen 3 - Military 0

After the Phys.Ed class was over I ran into my company officer, who told me that I had to attend the field priest's hour. So I called work and told them I'd be in later. Spent an hour or so BSing with he priest and his assistant and some other guys from my company, then I signed up for a rent-a-cop course and a forklift drivers license thingy. Both courses are free *thumbs up*
I then preceeded to call work again and ask if they needed me to come out right away, and if I could go pack my bag since it was only half an hour until lunch started. Sure enough, I was free to go packing. So, that's 1 point for priest's hour, 2 for the classes and 1 more for packing.

Doffen 7 - Military 0

After eating I called the transport squadron and had them drive me out to Lørberen (ammunitions depot HQ). Upon arrival my boss (a major) told me that I didn't have to work at all since the boat to Trondheim leaves at 2pm, and it was now 12am. Too much time would be lost in driving me back to base and down to the docksafterwards.

Doffen 8 - Military 0
Bonus points for not lifting a finger all day: One million gazillion points.

There is some suckage to this story though...
Both classes I signed up for will be on my 20th birthday... Damnit.

Woot. Sunday afternoon now.
Been home for two days and spent two nights working.

Considering I only had around 40 dollars when I came home (wtf? payday was last wednesday, how the hell did I manage to spend nearly 150 dollars drinking on wednesday night?!) I now have close to 120 dollars when you add the tips I've got working.

To top it off, I'm going out with my job tonight.
Drinks are on my bosses! Wooo!! Partyyyyyyyy!
I love my job. I really really really do. Shazam!

Ok, so what have I been doing lately?

I'm trying to figure out what I'll be doing after I'm done with the military service... So far I've got two choices I want to try.

Choice number 1:
I sign up for another one or two years in the military, only this time in the NAVY.
I will only do this, though, if I can get a job working in FLO/AMM (ammo department) on Haakonsvern (a naval base only 20 minutes from where I live in Bergen.

This would mean I'd get a cool uniform, I'd work 20 minutes from home and I'd be able to get a cheap education.
Plus, the pay is 248.500 NOK a year or $40.8649 USD / €30.0302

Choice number 2:
I've also applied for university.
I'm trying to get into the University of Bergen, taking a course in Psychology, which will earn me 60 points (I'm currently at 36.5 points because I suck).

The course lasts only one year, and serves as an introduction to psychology.
After that one year I will hopefully start working on a bachelor in general psychology, which will take three years.
After that I could expand to master and then to a Ph.D... But I dunno.

I've also applied for Social Anthropology, or how the hell you spell it in English. Basicly it's the studies of cultures around the world and through the times. I like knowing about how others live, and how their society got to be that way, so this is kinda interesting... Sadly, I can't think of a practical use for it though, and I want to be able to make money (read: roll in cash, laugh all the way to the bank, be filthy rich) from my education.

Anyway, come Monday something I've been waiting for might happen. I'm not sure yet as my Second Lieutenant (US) / Pilot Officer (UK) won't tell me if I made it or not.
What am I talking about? Well, come Monday they'll be promoting 23 people from my company from Airman Basic / Aircraftsman to Senior Airman / Corporal.

I want to be a corporal damnit, it's about 2 dollars extra a day, and I get this:

<img src=http://webstaff.no/180000%20Army%20Part%208%20Kings%20Guard%20Dress%20regulations/images%20new/078-17-1%20CSMS%20korp%20125.jpg>

on my shoulders.

I hope I make it damnit lol

Fell asleep sometime after 4.35am.
Woke up at 9.15am.
Couldn't go back to sleep.
I hate this place sometimes.

Blargh. Went to bed at 12pm, fell asleep somewhere around 1.30 I fell asleep and woke up several times throughout the night. Grr.

Then I found out I didn't get promoted to corporal because:

1) There were a lot of people who were recommended.
2) They decided to give departments who didn't have any of their soldiers promoted last time a higher priority.
3) They gave departments with only one soldier a lower priority because there wouldn't be anyone for the corporal to be in charge of.

So, in short, eventhough I've been here longer than most of the people that were promoted and I do all my work by myself, I'm not promoted because the other ammo. assistant was promoted while he was here, and I don't have anyone to boss around.

This is so unfair. Am most miffed.
Oh well, I'll get my revenge somehow. I'll sneak into the kitchen and pea in the soup! MWAHA!

Also, my PS2 died and the weather sucks right now.

Geez what a horrible way to start the day.
I woke up at 7.25am when my second lieutenant came into the room, asking me why I was not out of bed yet. Bummer. At this rate I won't be promoted to corporal in May either. Poop.

Any way, the other day my boss at FLO/AMM asked me if I wanted to go to <i><a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyrgyzstan>Kyrgyzstan (click for Wikipedia)</a></i>.

I'm tempted, but unsure. I don't really have anything that commits me to being in Norway for the next year, but from what I heard when I was asking around I'll be working odd hours and be forced to stay on the base.
I'd have to sign a one year contract and spend AT LEAST 6 months in Kyrgyzstan.
However, it pays somewhere between 5411.27 USD (<i>4197.65 Euro</i>) and 6184.31 USD (<i>4797.31 Euro</i>) a month**, after tax. *drool*

My cousin, who was a UN soldier and has been to <i><a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanon>Lebanon (click for Wikipedia)</a></i> has friends who are there. According to him it's a nice country (though very poor) and I wouldn't really be in any danger going there.

Still unsure as to what to do though... The money would come in handy later, and if I postpone my education by another year I'll get four extra points since I'm turning 21 next year... Meh.

I'll have to talk to one of my captains and get some more info.

Norwegian currency: 35 000 - 40 000 NOK a month.

Holy Insomnia Batman!

I went to bed at 10pm.
Fell asleep at 3am.
Had to get out of bed at 5am.

Spent several hours doing nothing.

Sat in a tower 100ft above the ground, watching a few F16 Fighting Falcons drop some BDU-33s (practice bombs for Mk82) and shoot some rounds of 20mm for about an hour.

Did nothing for another hour.

Ate a pizza.

Will have to get up at 5am tomorrow and repeat today's cycle, same the rest of this week. Next week and the week after that.

*stabs alarmclock with a rusty carrot*

I hate you, wake-up monster.

Todays feature: A horrible distasteful song!

filename: Iamgoingtohellforthis.mp3
artist: some goon

(This reich is gonna last a thousand years!)

Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler, everyone understand

Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich

Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler is the man
Hitler, everyone understand

Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich
Sieg Heil für das Reich

This song is wrong on so many different levels of horrible. Sad
Internet has rendered my conscience useless, and grinded me into a cold, awful person who'll laugh at anything.

I'd marry the Internet if it weren't for the sick fetish / snuff sites.

I think too much.
Actually, I think about thinking too much too much. So much in fact that the actual thinking never gets done and I derail myself in thinking about what I was thinking about or whether or not I should think about something else. This is where I usually start getting confused and decide not to think at all and try to get some sleep instead.
Not thinking about anything is sometimes harder than thinking because it requires a certain degree of concentration that you only get through thinking about not thinking about anything, which basicly renders the entire project useless. I think I think too much, but that's just a thought though.

Pink Floyd
Comfortably Numb

Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?
Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts,
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I can't explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
Just a little pinprick.
There'll be no more ...Aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working. Good.
That'll keep you going for the show.
Come on it's time to go.
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

So I look out my window, and I see this f-ing huge rainbow.
It was bright and sunny outside, and it started raining.
I love that kind of rain.

Kyle: Hey Stan, did you see that rainbow this morning?

Stan: Yeah, it was huge.

Cartman: Urg, I hate those things!

Kyle: Nobody hates rainbows.

Stan: Yeah, what's there to hate about rainbows?

Cartman: Well, you know. You'll just be sitting there, minding your own business, and they'll come marching in and crawl up your leg and start biting the inside of your ass and you'll be all like: "Hey, get out of my ass, you stupid rainbows!"

Stan: Cartman, what the hell are you talking about?

Cartman: I'm talking about rainbows. I hate those freakin' things.

Kyle: Rainbows are those little arches of color that show up during a rain storm.

Cartman: Ohhh, rainBOWS, oh yeah, I like those, those are cool.

Stan: What were you talking about?

Cartman: Huh? Oh, nothin'. Forget it.

Kyle: No. What marches in, crawls up your leg and bites the inside of your ass?

Cartman: Nothiing!

So, what's new with your old admiral?
Well, I'm 26 days away from dismissal from the Air Force and I can't f- wait. All my friends here are slowly being dismissed one after one... My best friend here is leaving tomorrow. Poop. (that's the end of all my internet humor right there *cry*)

I didn't get into University.
I don't have a full time job (I work as a part time bar assistant).
I get 16 500 NOK ($2512 US / €2069 / £1438 GB) the day I'm dismissed

I'll register myself as unemployed and get 8000 NOK a month.

Time for a trip to Greece, Ibiza, Mallorca, Amsterdam or Thailand... Not sure yet.

I'm going to be *SO* broke by the end of the next two weeks.

"Why?" you ask?
Well let's see...

I'm going home next Wednesday for my LAST LEAVE EVAR (YAY) during the following weeks these things are happening:

Thursday August 4th, Decontain turns 20.
Sunday August 7th, my sister turns 20.
Monday August 8th, dismissal party in Brekstad.

A short summary of why this will leave me broke:
Deco will finally be old enough to buy booze. Go him

My sister will finally be able to buy alcohol/tobacco/go out on town / get a driver's license. Go her.

Dismissal party. After a year in the Royal Norwegian Air Force I'm finally going back to the civillian life. Go me.

Might as well burn my wallet, I won't need it after this.

Ok so I've really been slacking when it comes to journal entries.

Well... New, exciting stuff rarely happens when you're out of school and unemployed and tend to sleep til 3pm because you're spending your nights stoned in front of the laptop.

Its starting to bore me so I'm considering a few options:

1) Get a dayjob

This is a no brainer really, and I'm sure people think I'm just lazy, but I don't want to end up in a dead end job doing something I hate just because it brings food on the table.
Working at the grocery store or supermarket would probably have me going postal before the end of the year lol.

(Edit: I'm currently working a part time job at a bar, and I'm loving it. It doesn't bring in enough money to support myself though, but it's ok if I plan on living at home with my mother for a while).

Try to get in good enough shape to get into Officer's School in the military. It's a good, respectable and varied career that pays ok. I'll have to spend another year away from home and go through a lot of hard work to get through it and I'd be on a one year contract after that.
I'm not sure where I'd be able to get a job either, and I wouldn't want to move from Bergen because the naval base can't offer me a job.

International Operations.

About a month before I was dismissed I was asked if I wanted to join Int.Ops. It'll be a one year contract with a maximum of 6 months of service abroad. 200 000 Norwegian kroners in 6 months.... Hmm.

Now, this is definitively (spelling?) the most tempting option, but I'm not sure my family is all too hot about the fact that I'd be going to a conflict zone lol.

I wouldn't be engaging in any real battles because I'm not in the infantry or anything like that, I'd be in a bunker somewhere working with bombs and missiles (in other words, a suitable airstrike target)

Anyway, I'm torn between these three and don't really know what to do...

I'll have a few beers and think some more.

My brothers wife gave birth to a baby girl, Tiri Iselin, a few hours ago. I am now the uncle of three adorable little girls.

Marita, 3.5 years old.
Mira, 2 years old.
Tiri Iselin, 5 hours old.

I'm going to laugh my ass off in 13 years when my brother has THREE TEENAGE GIRLS living in his house. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

In other news, I got Sabatons of Might, Breastplate of Might and Dark Iron Helmet during a Molten Core run with my guild (Dogma, Stormscale EU) today.
We also set a new guild record, clearing Molten Core (Lucifron, Magmadar, Gehennas, Garr, Geddon, Shazzrah, Sulfuron, Golemagg, Majordomo AND Ragnaros) in only 3 hours and 50 minutes, and one wipe (our MT messed up a pull, we'll be teasing him for weeks about it.)

I finished the classes Securitas gave me, including two weeks of practical training at one of their branches.

I ended up as a mall security guard. Hurrah.</sarcasm>

After two days I found out the job wasn't too bad at all, and after four days I had assisted in saving a life.

I am getting really sick of junkies and alcoholics and other sorts of druggies though.

I hear the train a'coming
It's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since - I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison and time keeps dragging on
But that train keeps a'rollin on down to San Anton.

When I was just a baby
My momma told me "Son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.
Now everytime I hear that whistle, I hang my head and cry.

I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars.
Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a movin'
And that's what tortures me.

Well if they'd free me from this prison,
If that railroad train was mine.
I bet I'd move just a little further down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.

X amount of beer tonight.
Song of the day:

The Highwaymen
(Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson)</i></b>
<i>I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.

I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.

I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around..I'll always be around..and around and around and
around and around

I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..</i>

Well you wonder why I always dress in black
Why you never see brigtht colors on my back
And why does my appearance
Seem to have a somber tone

Well there's a reason for the things that I have on.

I wear it for the poor and beaten down
Living in the hopeless, hungry side of town
I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime
But is there because he's a victim of the time

I wear the black for those who've never read
Or listened to the words that Jesus said
About the road to happiness
Through love and charity
Why you'd think he's talking straight to you and me.

Well, we're doing mighty fine I do suppose
In our streak of lightning cars and fancy clothes
But just so we're reminded of the ones who are held back
Up front there ought to be a man in black

I wear it for the sick and lonely old
For the reckless ones who's bad trips left them cold
I wear the black in mourning for the lives that could have been
Each week we lose a hundred fine young men

And I wear it for the thousands who have died
Believing that the Lord was on their side
I wear it for another hundred thousand who have died
Believing that we all were on their side

And I wear it for another hundred thousand who have died
Believing that we all were on their side

Well there's things that never will be right I know
And things need changing everywhere you go
But 'til we start to make a move to make a few things right
You'll never see me wear a suit of white

Oh I'd LOVE to wear a rainbow everyday
And tell the world that everythings okay

But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back
'Til things are brighter
I'm The Man in Black
