TODO List for first release:

GUI:
-Abilities/Keybindings screen
-Inventory screen
-Create character screen
-Logout screen
-Player nameplates
-Stats screen needs some fixes still
-Binding Items

MAIN GAME:
-Collision detection (maybe temporary shit collision detection...)
-Spells working and with visuals for levels 1-10
-Self select

CONTENT:
-A few maps. Don't need to be special, or all that big
-Items for levels 1-10
-Monsters for levels 1-10
-Different model for each class

Tbh i have no idea yet on poly requirements. Any format is ok so long as it can be converted in blender or something. Obj preferable.

As of now, no.

When an actual release is done, there might even be some kind of p2p model (or item shop model) to make funds for better models, textures, whatever.

Another nice one I think. Zoomed out camera too. All enemies have the same model for the time being (see note above about needing models :P)

When I get the game to a state of functioning (i.e., you can actually play XPS with it), I'm probably going to switch focus very much to graphics. Graphics design is pretty damn fun I gotta say, and I wanna completely 1-up ej at it.

Hmm, what do you mean by you can play xps with it too. Could you have evidyon graphics on one server and another server like old xps?

I mean that it can connect to xps. I use andys xps to test this game. Both xen client and this can connect to the same xps server

Yes. Until this client becomes completely functioning and we decide to only support it (if that ever happens), in which case, no.

On a development note: I've started working on spells. Since spells are mostly handled by server (and only visuals are handled on client) i'll have all spells working very soon, however none of them will have a visual (this is going to be a huge grind..).

So, an update:

Spell casting works almost entirely. But presently everyone sees every spell in their list.
Some spell visuals (the simpler ones: mederi, flamma, all the instant effect ones) show up, although the graphics for some of them are very poor (and AWESOME for some other ones lol). Others (specifically the delayed damage ones, beam, sidus, zap, etc.) do not.

I would love to show a video of this game in action so far (it's actually pretty fun now!) but fraps doesn't like Evidyon. Oh well. Would need a far faster comp than what I have I guess, framerate just goes to complete shit, especially with evidyons particles.

Least rare to most rare goes
White -> green -> blue -> yellow -> red -> orange -> gold

So it won't be like the old XPS where everyone has incredible gear and you can find it everywhere? That was one of my favorite parts.

pretty sure the goal is to make it a progression, not a grind like regular xen.(or at least not as much of a grind)

Rare and epic for sure will be obtainable (they are in Xenimus, just hard to get). Legendary items on the other hand, not easily (some of them will, like Xencon items, or w/e), but some others are just game-breaking (Sun/Moon staff, black cloth, etc.). Those probably will never drop unless we tweaked numbers on them. Tbh XenCon items probably shouldn't even be classified as legendary, unless they're really THAT good.

- Looking forward to testing out your Evidyon/XPS client. As one who tested Evidyon in Alpha/Beta and helped develop the pvp there i cant see much differences in the graphics, have you started or are you YET to begin with that?

- And if theres a possible way to maybe let some one "fraps" it for you, would you be willing?

i also have some videos from OLD Evidyon if i only knew how to post them without problems.

Item sniffer. Useful because items don't have an actual graphic on the ground yet.. lol.

With this, however, I'd begin to classify this game as *playable* (but not well). What this means is I'm slowly going to start shifting my focus to content more than core work. The core work is, for an initial release, more or less done.

So since I made this post, only one person gave one link to a 3-d model, which sucks. To anyone that feels like doing so, please go look for some (or design them yourself!) it'll really help me speed up releasing this game.

Till then, I'll be designing my own 3-d models, and maybe modifying ready made character ones.
