Does anyone have proof that this thing even exists? Or the item level? I know on XenLua there was that -setitem function, and I never saw the robe on there.

I for one think that the monsters in 70 chest are a glitch, and that there is no super moonie. But does anyone know for sure?

People still play Xenimus? Let alone Xenimus 1?

Xenimus 1 is pretty alive again. EJ is doing updates surprisingly. Not sure if he's given up on 2.0 or not, but it seems that way.

2.0 is the 2.0 of Xen FP.

Early 2000s game creators who got lucky with a game need to realise they will never be in the early 2000s again. Times have changed. I've been a member of several of these communities. EVERY creator has thought they can make their new idea bigger and better than their first and EVERY creator has failed.

EJ should be damn proud of xenimus 1.0 and all his efforts should go to it.

Super moon robe did exist at one point when i played several years ago. I assume it wasnt removed. IIRC it was only better than a adept robe if it was super which is why I was interested in it. This is all based off memory from 4-5+ years ago though so I could easily be wrong.

For the off topic discussion, the reason xenimus fails every time he tries to do a large update in my opinion is because he doesnt solve the actual problems as to why new players don't like the game. Graphics definitely turn a lot of players away but if we're being honest there are countless games on steam right now that are as bad if not worse graphics. What they have though is a fantastic interface and they feel incredibly smooth to play. The progression in those games also tend to be very obvious and there aren't enormous leaps based entirely on RNG like there are in xenimus. Chest pulls are cool but the fact that for years they were the only real way of obtaining gear is absurd. The lack of ability to PvP anyone in any serious way unless they happen to be almost identically geared as you is also a huge turn off.

True, Xen has always lacked progression for new players. There was an attempt at a chain quest, there's attempts at a GUI with some helpful tips.

But his tips are like a game manual. Even in the 90s we didn't read game manuals, that's why games creators began to teach us as we played.

It only gets worse as you go on - vital things like the mummy quest and the scallion bosses, shrines, bosses, lower level raid bosses, item quests are all only found out by getting an EXISTING PLAYER TO TEACH YOU!

Ridiculous when you think about it.

There's also no storyline. Xen's quasi medieval greco-latin environment strikes a chord with players but he makes no use of it.

Again, he's a wild-west pioneer developer who got lucky with his game, and never learned any lessons.
